Two-faced Cow Born in Virginia
As if one face is not enough, a cow with two faces was born in Virginia last December 27, 2006. A product of artificial insemination which was supposed to create a genetically superior specimen, this cow appears to be, well, genetically superior indeed. The calf is normal from its tail until its unusually large head. The calf breathes out of two noses and has two tongues, which move independently, according to Heldreth. There appears to be a single socket containing two eyes where the heads split. It has two lower jaws but only one mouth. It’s owner, Mr. Kirk Heldreth of Heldreth Dairy Farm, currently feeds it through a tube but admits that it would be tough for him to maintain such a schedule.
